Simple. Sweet. And to the point.
Yes, I've heard almost all of the arguments about this subject. I've heard from those who have had their deviations taken down because of Copyright Violation (from now on referred to as "CV"). Sometimes they're right to taken down these deviations, but a lot of the time they are wrong. No questions are asked, they're just removed. I do NOT approve of this. I've heard the rants by the people who support this and believe those who whine about CV are stupid and need to grow up. I think these people have never had their work removed unjustly, do you? While I can agree with them to a point, I still find it a very unfair process. And this is why... There are SO MANY deviations out there worse off than my own sorry little excuses for deviations but each one of those stay up. Some have been up for YEARS and have never been removed. It feels almost as if they single out certain people and routinely stalk their accounts just in case. What they NEED to be doing, is stalking the galleries and taking down any violations they see there. No waiting for a report. No stalking certain accounts. They need to be fucking well doing their job so we, the paying customer, don't feel like we're being picked on by the big bad DA bosses because they feel like throwing their weight around!! Right now, if I go to any of the galleries here on deviantart, I'll bet I can find over a hundred CV's within 20 minutes. And what do they do to me? Take down some silly little stamps. There are actual ART THIEVES out there that are still getting away with stealing, and they feel they need to bother with removing my stamps because I used an image that I googled for that is open to the general public and that has been used a hundred times before by different people for different graphics. It makes no sense to me!!! ... and I think I've ranted enough. This should have been a journal entry, but I've just had a rough day at work and this has pissed me off no end...   's are always good! And mine was FAN ART, which they took off because I didn't state the original maker clearly (even though I stated it in my artist's statement!!).
I never bothered reposting mine, though, it just wasn't worth it.

Agreed. It's one thing to say, "OH, I CREATED THIS SHOW" and another to be a genuine fan, and use some creativity in regards to your fandom.
