If you fuck up. If you're deperate for a plot line or just some major ANGST!!! .... get in your friendly, helpful NPC to mess with the plot!

this saying is so true, I have a quest in a game that I can't beat because of some NPCs, and they are almost always weak.

lol Nice. I think the motto in my RPG group is slightly different though. More like "When in doubt, kill the NPC". :D
